The nomination form and photographs of the Hotel and other eligible or listed properties can be found by searching Cimarron under KHRI. The service is free to the public. A copy of the Gray County Commercial Buildings Survey, completed in 2011, explored the commercial properties in each of the counties five communities: Cimarron, Copeland, Ensign, Ingalls, and Montezuma. It can be found at http://www.kshs.org/resource/survey/graycountyreport.pdf

Previous preservation projects have upgraded all plumbing and electrical components throughout the building, repaired and stabilized the foundation, replaced the flat roof, replaced the boiler in 2020, developed and completed an annual maintenance plan.
